so, I start out with good intentions, making a simple, healthy, budget-friendly meal plan, right? go out, buy said groceries, get all hyped up that I’m gonna see changes and feel so good etc etc. But then my boyfriend, he doesn’t like what I have planned, or wants something more. so what happens? I end up spending more money to make something completely different, and not as healthy as I had planned. I feel bad when I meal plan, and I feel bad impulse shopping for meals because that is a huge waste of my limited funds. no wonder I don’t have money for clothes or outings with my friends (or even gas sometimes!) a day of meals generally (starts out) looking like this:
breakfast: oatmeal w//pb, banana, blueberries
snack: 2 bananas
lunch: chicken, brown rice, bell pepper, apple
dinner: chicken, snap peas, pear
what happens is dinner usually ends up being something completely different that we don’t really have the ingredients for, so we go out and (I) buy more food and then never touch those ingredients again. like, if I’m gonna be the one spending more money on food, the least A could do is buy me a shirt or a pair of jeans every once in a while hahaha.
hopefully sitting down to figure out this dilemma tonight, and we can find a balance between eating together and still achieving our (ahem my) fitness goals
